First Bridgman System Built
Engineered our first Bridgman furnace in-house for indigenous crystal growth technologies.
THM System for IGCAR with IIT-M
Collaborated with IIT Madras to commission a THM system at IGCAR, Kalpakkam.
CZ Puller R&D for BARC
Czochralski puller development for BARC's crystal growth mandate.
Patent Filed
First patent on crystal growth technology design and instrumentation.
CZ Pullhead at BARC

The Problem
India imports nearly 100% of its single crystals.
Silicon wafers, Germanium substrates, Nd:YAG laser rods - virtually all single crystal materials used in Indian defence and semiconductor labs are imported from China, the US, or Russia. This is a critical supply chain vulnerability that no Indian company has solved. Until now.
The Czochralski process - the gold standard for growing defect-free single crystals - requires years of process knowledge, specialised equipment, and deep materials science expertise. Raana is the first private Indian company to master it end-to-end.
