Our Technology

Automatic CZ Crystal Growth System

RF-heated Czochralski pullers with fully automated diameter control, growing Silicon, Germanium, Nd:YAG, and Lithium Niobate single crystals for semiconductor, defence, and photonics applications. Temperature stability is maintained within ±0.1 °C. Pull speed is controlled to nanometre precision. A single run can take 48-72 hours. The margin for error is zero.

Single crystals sit at the very beginning of the semiconductor, defence, and atomic value chains. India has zero domestic production capacity today. Raana is changing that.

Eliminating Import Dependence

India imports 100% of its single-crystal substrates - Silicon, Germanium, Nd:YAG, and Lithium Niobate - from the US, Japan, Russia, and China. A single supply-chain disruption can halt domestic semiconductor, defence, and atomic programmes. Raana is building the country's first Czochralski crystal manufacturing line to close this gap.

Defence & Strategic Autonomy

Nd:YAG and Germanium crystals power laser range-finders, target designators, and directed-energy systems across the Indian armed forces. Indigenous crystal supply removes foreign-vendor dependency from classified defence platforms - a national-security imperative.

India 2.0 envisions a fully self-reliant semiconductor ecosystem - where critical materials, precision equipment, and advanced manufacturing are built domestically. By investing in indigenous equipment and material supply chains, the mission strengthens every layer of the value chain - from upstream materials to downstream assembly.
